This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.
The Associate, Investment Specialist will work with the Evergreen Investment Specialist team to drive the growth of HarbourVest’s evergreen solutions globally. HarbourVest’s evergreen solutions include private markets commingled vehicles and separate account opportunities, targeted at private wealth and institutional investors. Responsibilities include the creation, maintenance, and delivery of ongoing and ad hoc fundraising support material, partnership with the Private Wealth and Investor Relations teams to facilitate new business wins, competitor intelligence, performance commentary, and other ongoing and project-based work needed to successfully launch, sell, and run a wide range of evergreen solutions. The Associate will work closely with Evergreen Investment Specialists, Evergreen Portfolio Management, and distribution teams to synthesise data and insights into high quality, client ready materials that support fundraising, governance, and strategic decision making.

An understanding of private market evergreen vehicles and the private wealth market.
An ability to be forward-thinking and work without a playbook.
Strong investment and analytical competence.
Strong written skills.
Capacity to balance multiple tasks with minimal direct supervision, strong organisational skills, and superb attention to detail
Knowledge of the investment process.
The potential to grow into an external-facing role.
What you will do:
Lead the development, upkeep, and distribution of evergreen investment talking points, performance commentary, and key data used to support fundraising conversations across channels. This includes ongoing content and ad hoc content that addresses product and market environment proactively.
Serve as a primary source of evergreen product knowledge and materials in support of collective sales efforts, with a particular focus on equity evergreen funds.
Support sales teams to drive fundraising by delivering in-depth vehicle and market knowledge on a regular basis, coordinating meeting follow-ups, and tailoring content to meet channel needs or market conditions.
Own competitor analysis for evergreen products.
Provide investment insights, performance commentary, and technical input for RFPs, thought leadership materials, and portfolio updates, and review submissions to ensure investment accuracy and quality.
Support go-to-market execution for US and non-US evergreen products by providing product expertise, market insights, and sales readiness inputs for launches globally.

What you bring:
A blend of product leadership, investment capabilities, and commercial and/or sales experience
A deep understanding of the evergreen fund market landscape, including key competitors, fundraising and industry trends.
Sound commercial judgement with the ability to consider broader business implications, complexity, and operational impact to achieve optimal outcomes for HarbourVest.
A strong understanding of quantitative investment measurements and statistical tools.

Experience
3-5 Years experience in product specialist, investment banking, investment research, consulting, or investor relations capacity preferred
