The team you’ll join
StepStone Private Wealth is responsible for delivering StepStone’s Private Markets solutions to the Wealth Management channel (RIAs, Broker Dealers, and Wire houses). The team has over 100 employees with offices in Charlotte, La Jolla, and Winter Park.
About the role
StepStone Private Wealth is looking for highly motivated undergraduate students graduating between December 2026 and June 2027 to join our Business Development team as a Summer Analyst. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience on an Internal Sales Desk while learning about StepStone Private Wealth’s Evergreen offerings and the Private Wealth channel. Through this experience, Summer Analysts will develop presentation skills, a strong understanding of the different private markets asset classes, and how an asset manager engages with financial advisors. This internship will be located in La Jolla, CA and will be a part of our intern program that will be June 1 - August 7, 2026.
What you’ll do
The Summer Analyst will assist the business development team with data entry & analytics within internal CRM, marketing, & other timely projects. Help the team by preparing sales materials, scheduling meetings, and providing support during sales calls and presentations. The Summer Analyst will be the liaison between sales and operations. Maintain Knowledge of our business and market performance/position related to StepStone Private Wealth distributed products. Finally, the Summer Analyst will conduct research to identify potential clients, and market trends relevant to the company's goals.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Business Development team with developing and building relationships with financial advisors
- Assist Business Development & Marketing team with managing CRM Campaigns
- Develop presentation skills to present StepStone’s Evergreen offerings
- Study and pass the SIE FINRA Exam
- Understand the Evergreen Offerings marketplace and provide intel on competitor’s products
- Assist Business Development team with other ad hoc projects
What we’re looking for
- Must be able to work legally in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Undergraduate student graduating anywhere from December 2026 through June 2027
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable analytical capabilities, including strong quantitative/modeling skills
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive and team-oriented approach

Salary: $25 / hour
