This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 3 days minimum per week in the office.
HarbourVest is seeking the right candidate to join a global Investor Relations team, within a growing EMEA team, specifically focusing on supporting UK institutional opportunities. This investor segment continues to be a critical growth driver within EMEA investor relations, offering multiple opportunities for learning and development.
The ideal candidate is someone who has:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) as well as analytical and quantitative skills, with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, across multiple teams and seniority, and handle multiple projects with strong project management skills
Highly passionate/ motivated (self-starter) with strong work ethic; genuine passion for excellence and constant improvement
A desire to work in a team environment, with a collaborative perspective
Ability to “see the bigger picture” and get to the heart of issues rapidly
Personal and professional integrity of the highest order
Strong client service and solutions orientation
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Some familiarity with CRM systems, databases and AI tools would be useful but not required
What you will do:
Supporting UK Institutional investor relations team in all aspects of the fundraising cycle from managing pipeline of fundraising opportunities, client communications, presentations, due diligence meetings and closing of investor commitments. While this is initially an internally oriented role, over time there will be opportunities for the right candidate to take on more client-facing responsibilities
Working closely with the Marketing team, RFP team, Client Services team and other firm wide functions across all seniority to win new clients and service existing clients
Preparing tailored SalesForce / Preqin / other reporting and analysis
Analysing and preparing internal presentations on fundraising, and assisting with setting up targets for the region
Cash flow modelling for existing and new commitments
Market research, competitor analysis, client segmentation analysis
Supporting Account Managers in developing and preparing LP teach-ins/learning exchange materials and memos
Supporting LP due diligence requests and coordinate investor queries
Supporting broader investor relations teams in dealing with existing clients, and prospective investors where required
And other responsibilities as required
Education Preferred:
Bachelor of Arts or Science (BS/BA) or equivalent experience
Experience:
3-5 Years of experience in alternative investment or other finance/investment oriented roles
