This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

HarbourVest Partners is currently seeking a candidate for an Associate position in its Direct Investment Group in Toronto. As an Associate on the Direct team, you will be at the forefront of evaluating companies with a focus on venture and growth stage technology businesses, engaging actively in sourcing, due diligence and investment management. You will play a key role in our Canadian office and be part of our global investment team. You will be conducting investment analysis, with the opportunity to voice your opinions in investment discussions and be deeply involved in managing our investment portfolio, adding real value to the team. You will have the opportunity to explore a spectrum of industries from Tech to Healthcare, gaining a 360-degree view of the VC and private equity landscape.

The ideal candidate is someone who has:

  • Academic inclination in finance, business, or accounting.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

2 – 3 years of investment banking, private equity/VC investing, or related consulting experience
