Position Overview
The Investment COOs team at Apollo is responsible for developing and executing growth initiatives across all aspects of Apollo’s investing businesses. The Analyst will work as part of the Investment COOs team focused on the Private Equity business, which anchors the Firm’s Equity segment and is considered an industry leading franchise. In this role, the candidate will be heavily involved in developing and managing a broad range of business priorities with regular exposure to Private Equity & firm leadership. The candidate’s responsibilities will include assisting the Private Equity COO in all aspects of business management in addition to developing and delivering on Private Equity’s strategic ambitions. The candidate will also work closely with the Equity CFO team to assist with analyses across the Private Equity portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a team player, a relationship builder and a self-starter. The candidate will play an integral role in the successful execution of the Private Equity team’s strategic initiatives and overall performance. Immediate or near-term start date strongly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist Private Equity leadership in the day-to-day management of their businesses and progress toward firm-wide goals and growth targets. Help develop solutions to challenging problems facing the business. Act as transformational agent across a variety of functions to drive change and efficiencies across the business.
Support PE leadership in the evaluation and implementation of new business activities, including new funds/product development, business line extensions, competitive intelligence, industry coverage models and organization structure.
Assist with portfolio review process, fund outcomes analysis and portfolio review follow-ups in addition to managing the investment process (e.g., deal team updates, ad hoc analyses, coordinate quarterly process reviews and updates, etc.)
Along with PE Business Leaders and Apollo’s business planning team, act as an owner over forecasting and budgeting processes, including fund modeling and overall performance, capital raise and deployment assumptions, fee drivers and terms. Assist with data integrity initiatives across the business including investment performance.
Coordinate across Apollo on a broad range of projects, acting as a liaison between investment teams and other functions (client and product marketing, finance, human capital, legal, tax and compliance).
Partner with PE Leadership to define and drive key culture and people initiatives in partnership with Human Capital.
Support PE communication efforts including drafting materials and talking points for all-hands, town halls, roundtables, and potential investor day presentations.
Partner with other COOs, CFO teams and/or broader firm leadership to drive strategic initiatives
Assist in organizing meeting and operational cadence, including preparation of agendas and materials.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree with a record of academic achievement.
1-3 years of relevant work experience, with a preference for relevant financial services or asset management experience; corporate strategy or consulting experience in other industries will also be considered.
Genuine interest in corporate strategy and business building within the investment management industry with an emphasis on hands-on implementation of growth plans.
Strong relationship builder with an ability to partner with colleagues across all levels and functions across the organization.
Strong modeling and problem-solving skills with detail orientation and an exceptional analytical skillset.

Highly organized, keen attention to detail, and able to effectively manage multiple processes simultaneously

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
