Overview of Position

Join our dynamic Corporate & Investor Services Team as a Senior Associate, Investor Services Support, where your role will be crucial in driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional internal client service. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects and business activities.

 

As a Senior Associate, you will lead investor subscription, settlement, and funding operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Your expertise in risk management and process optimization will drive improvements and mitigate risks. You will also mentor junior associates and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance workflows, playing a key role in our operational success.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key point of contact for the Investor Services team, providing high-level support by proactively managing inquiries and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Take ownership of funding-related tasks, ensuring the seamless execution of transfers, cheque processing, and deposit management, while optimizing efficiencies in workflows.
  • Lead the customization and quality assurance of subscription documents and project-related forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, and implementing best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Play a critical role in corporate initiatives, including overseeing the execution of quarterly statements, secondary transfers, estates, distributions, and the development of training programs.
  • Leverage technology and data management tools to streamline tracking, organization, and reporting of key investor service functions.
  • Provide regular updates and insights on project deliverables to the AVP, Corporate & Investor Services, offering strategic recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex issues, resolving challenges with a solutions-oriented approach and providing guidance to junior team members as needed.
  • Contribute to the mentorship and training of junior associates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Proactively identify risks and implement measures to mitigate potential operational challenges.
  • Execute additional responsibilities with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail.


Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial services, preferably in a client services or operations role.
  • Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) certificates or designations would be an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), with the ability to analyze and manipulate data effectively.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and drive informed decision-making
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high accuracy in data entry and document processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also providing leadership and support to junior team members.
  • Self-driven mindset with a strong ability to learn.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours when required to support business needs during peak periods.
