Role Description:
The candidate will be part of the Illiquid Asset Operations (IAO) team and will contribute to the valuation function of the AIFM. In particular, the candidate will assist in the periodic review of valuation reports, assessment and remediation of valuation exceptions, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This role further contributes to the preparation and coordination of the Valuation Committee. The candidate will also support the oversight framework and governance of the valuation function including service provider oversight, and onboarding of valuation models. In addition, the role helps deliver robust management reporting, maintain governance records, and enable continuous process improvements in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Your key responsibilities
· Assist in the periodic review of valuation reports for alternative asset classes.
· Assist in reviewing any significant valuation exceptions and liaise with internal and external stakeholders for remediation.
· Liaise with internal stakeholders (portfolio management, Fund CFO teams, Risk) to collect relevant valuation documentation.
· Prepare and consolidate materials for Valuation Committee meetings and support minute‑taking, follow‑up actions, tracking of escalations.
· Assist the IAO Valuation Governance team with the initial and periodic due diligence reviews of valuation providers.
· Support the engagement processes and on-going oversight of valuation providers.
· Assist in onboarding and validation of new or updated valuation models.
· Support management reporting for oversight, incidents, and potential process improvements.
· Maintain documentation and records, coordinate internal reviews and ensure timely sign‑offs.
Your skills and experience
· Master’s degree in finance, economics or related field
· Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in audit, alternatives, or fund governance
· Exposure and understanding of alternative valuation principles and methodologies is preferred
· Team-oriented, financial analysis expertise, attention to detail and deadline driven mindset
· Ability to effectively coordinate across various internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· Proficient in MS Office, with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Additional language skills (especially other European languages) are an advantage
· Progress toward a relevant professional qualification is also an asset
