About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have had hands-on, Private Equity specific accounting expertise and have demonstrated capabilities in managing the administrative function of multiple private equity funds and/or in managing client service relationships associated with alternative asset investment managers and investors.
The role will support the Management Team of the Private Equity line of business in creating a standardized approach to CFS’ global PE service offering and with managing the various operational aspects associated with the business. By working closely with the members of the Private Equity Senior Management Team you will drive strategic and operational excellence and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Duties in Brief:
- Client relationship management
- Interact with senior management and manage overall relationships for multiple clients
- Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients
- Assist with recruitment, employee assessment and business planning
- Preparation of client service plans including annual budget
- Establish plan for new client setup and transitions
- Coordinate with Operations group, Financial Statement group, Tax group, and Investor Relations group
- Coordinate, manage and monitor external audit process
- Review private equity fund client’s partnership agreements, PPM’s and other materials
- Management of various operational aspects associated with client relationships
- Fund accounting and control
About You:
- 12–15 years public/private accounting experience, predominantly in the private equity sector
- Experience in managing client relationships and/or with the controllership function of an alternative asset manager
- Skills in negotiation, business planning and budgeting
- Expertise with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in specific respect of application to the alternative asset management sector
- Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals
- Project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word Powerpoint, Sharepoint)
- CPA or comparable designation
