Group Finance Director

København, Capital Region of Denmark, DenmarkFull-time11h ago

Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investments? If so, CIP Terra Technologies (CTT) is currently looking for a Group Finance Director to join our Finance team in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Team

The Finance Director will become part of a small, experienced team of finance professionals responsible for finance management, financial planning and analysis, along with accounting, controlling, and compliance across the CTT organization, covering entities in 15 countries.

Following an optimisation in CIP last year, the team is relatively newly established, with a clear focus on building and anchoring a robust and efficient Finance function within CTT. This includes ensuring the delivery of high-quality and timely reporting of financial- and business insights to the CTT management and the Board, while ensuring efficient finance operations and full compliance with applicable regulations across all entities.

The position reports directly to the Head of Finance, Helle Jensen, and is based in Copenhagen (potentially London or Madrid for the right candidate).

The Role

We are seeking an experienced finance leader to manage financial planning, business performance, and decision support across CTT. While accounting, compliance, and finance operations are delivered through our Global Capability Center (GCC) and Group Finance function, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality financial governance while partnering closely with Executive Management to improve profitability, resource utilization, and commercial performance

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping and defining the finance and controlling function within a growing international setup. Over the next several months, you will help shape and execute a clear operating model for our accounting, controlling, and compliance areas, while building strong governance, defined responsibilities, and standardized, scalable, high-quality processes. At the same time, you will be actively involved in ongoing process optimizations and system implementations, all aimed at building a scalable and efficient Finance function in CTT.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Financial planning and business performance, managing and coordinating the annual budget process, financial forecasting, and resource planning, including development of rate models, utilization analysis, profitability monitoring, and performance reporting to support management decision-making and business goals

  • Oversight of accounting, controlling, compliance and reporting delivered by GCC, ensuring high-quality, timely and compliant finance operations, including accurate reconciliations, financial reporting, and robust financial controls

  • Financial reporting and insights, including review of monthly and quarterly reporting and delivery of financial performance analysis to management (e.g., margins, spend, EBIT)

  • Tax and regulatory governance, ensuring compliant handling of VAT, WHT, CIT, and other requirements in collaboration with GCC and local advisors

  • Systems and data management, ensuring consistent ERP usage, high-quality master data, and reliable financial information to enable efficient reporting, business insights, and data-driven decision making

You

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of hands-on experience within accounting, controlling, and compliance in an international environment. You have a solid foundation in accounting standards and controlling methodologies, combined with a solid understanding of cross-border compliance complexities.

We recognize that no candidate will meet every requirement, and we value a solid overall profile with the ability to grow into the role within a CTT context.

We look for the following in the candidate:

  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field

  • Demonstrated ownership mindset, with the ability to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively across cultures and without direct authority

  • Highly skilled at organizing efforts, prioritizing tasks, and working with diverse stakeholders

  • Well organized, self-driven, and detail-oriented, with a clear emphasis on quality

  • Experience with MS Business Central or a similar ERP system

  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
