In our optimized CIP Platform, CIP Terra Technologies – a project delivery company delivering projects from onshore wind, solar PV and battery energy storage systems, to bioenergy, thermal and transmission infrastructure – is currently looking for Senior Associate, Project Development to join our office in Mumbai, India.
Team
We are a multidisciplinary team developing large-scale renewable energy projects in India, from early-stage origination through execution and offtake. Our work sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and market engagement, delivering meaningful outcomes in a dynamic, high-responsibility environment.
Role
The selected candidate will be responsible for end‑to‑end development of renewable energy projects— from origination to pre‑construction readiness. The role requires solid commercial acumen, stakeholder management, regulatory understanding, and technical coordination to move projects through the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:
- Oversee land identification, due diligence, acquisition strategy, and documentation.
- Coordinate with land aggregators, surveyors, and legal teams for title checks and compliance.
- Deep knowledge of Land Laws, Revenue Codes, Land Acquisition procedures and administrative processes.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, financial model, ESG l team and legal teams to ensure alignment.
- Prepare development schedules, risk registers, mitigation plans, and progress reports.
- Manage the entire project development cycle from conceptualization to Ready‑to‑Build (RTB) stage.
- Deliver business cases and investment material (slides, memo) for management review and reporting.
You
We are seeking a motivated professional with a relevant degree and 4–6 years of experience in renewable energy project development across solar, wind, hybrid, or BESS projects, with end-to-end exposure from concept to RTB (Ready-to-Build). The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of renewable energy regulatory frameworks, including state policies and central schemes, along with practical experience in land due diligence, grid connectivity processes, and permitting. Familiarity with site assessment tools, particularly GIS, is essential.
We look for the following in a candidate:
- Solid financial acumen with ability to translate complex matters into clear messages
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in creating high-quality PowerPoint presentations
- Results-driven with a high execution orientation, and a focus on effective problem solving and clear communication
- Effective project leadership skills, with experience delivering complex projects in collaboration with multiple stakeholders
