Team
The Head of Projects will become part of TT-ABF, a growing platform focused on developing and delivering large-scale Advanced Bioenergy projects across Europe. In close collaboration with project leadership, investment teams, technical specialists, and CIP stakeholders worldwide, this role will help ensure projects are delivered effectively through development, construction, and operations.
Because CIP Terra Technologies is centered on projects, this role blends strategic leadership with direct involvement in project work. The candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team of project development managers and subject matter experts while helping establish the processes, governance and organisational capabilities required to scale the platform.
Role
The Head of Projects will be responsible for overseeing project resources, governance, processes and delivery across the TT-ABF portfolio. This includes ensuring projects are appropriately staffed throughout their lifecycle, building and leading effective teams, and implementing the tools and frameworks required for successful project execution.
The role will work closely with Project CEOs and senior stakeholders to support project delivery, establish best practices and provide effective oversight of project performance, risks, schedules and budgets.
Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:
Partnering with Project CEOs to ensure the appropriate resources and capabilities are in place throughout development, construction and operations phases
Developing and implementing recruitment and workforce planning strategies to support current and future projects across the portfolio
Leading, developing and retaining a multidisciplinary team of project development managers and subject matter experts while supporting organisational growth and capability building
Designing and implementing project governance frameworks, reporting processes, risk management tools and decision-making materials for management and board stakeholders
Establishing project controls covering planning, scheduling, interface management and budget oversight, including implementation of P50, P20 and P90 forecasting methodologies
Managing relationships with external development partners, consultants and contractors while ensuring consistent project execution across the broader TT and CIP organisations
You
The ideal candidate has a relevant degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline, combined with experience delivering large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects. You bring a strong understanding of project development, construction and operational delivery, together with a demonstrated ability to lead geographically dispersed teams.
In addition, you are a results-oriented, collaborative leader who thrives in innovative, international environments where long-term planning and effective execution are both critical.
We look for the following in the candidate:
10–20+ years of renewable energy project development experience with experience delivering utility-scale projects
Solid leadership capabilities with experience in managing multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams
Commercial understanding of project economics and key value drivers, including project returns and investment performance
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, clear communication, and relationship development across executive, technical, and external teams
Well-developed skills in organization, problem solving, and prioritization, with the flexibility to manage both strategic objectives and operational work
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, and willingness to work within an international environment
