This role follows a hybrid work model which consists of 4 days in office per week. Additionally, you will receive 5 additional remote days per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval.
About the Role:
We are looking for an Associate to join our Treasury team based in Singapore. The Associate will be responsible for reconciling the daily cash activity and managing liquidity for HarbourVest funds using multiple banking portals and the Treasury Workstation. The Associate will work closely with various HarbourVest functional teams to ensure timely execution of the daily operations. This role will take part in a rotational program to promote growth and understanding in all aspects of the Treasury department. Must be flexible to adjust working hours as needed in order to support collaboration with the Boston office as required.

What you will do:
80% Cash Desk Responsibilities
Use banking portals and the Treasury Workstation to reconcile daily cash activity and process transactions to satisfy the cash management requirements of the firm
Ensure the accuracy of records in the Treasury Workstation and other systems
Facilitate daily liquidity transactions to meet Fund commitments while minimizing counterparty risk
Provide ongoing status updates for transactions and proactively work with banks and other financial institutions to confirm transaction settlement
Work as an adaptable teammate who proactively assists with operational workload rebalancing and high-priority items and collaborates with colleagues
20% Client Service Responsibilities
Perform regional client requests to facilitate timely completion including fund specific data requests or payment instruction callbacks.
Partner with client service to streamline communication and reduce roundtrip requests by proactively resolving Treasury-related inquiries and maintaining up-to-date reference materials, including credit facility details.
What you bring:
Experience with Treasury workstation software and business process management technology
A high attention to detail
Drive to identify and implement technological and operational improvement solutions to streamline operations and improve controls
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Fundamental understanding of Private Equity
Ability to contribute in team presentations with detailed reports and data
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree – BS/BA in Finance, Economics or Accounting or a related field required
Work Experience:
3-5+ years of experience in Treasury or banking capacity preferred
